If you're looking to help out or get more involved with Equination.net; earn some extra traffic to your website or give your business greater respect, then perhaps race sponsoring is the right choice for you! We offer a very affordable program to allow you to advertise your name, business or website, while premium members throughout Equination.net compete to win your very own, customized stake race. When you sponsor a stake race, you're able to specify the name of the event, the level, the age and gender restrictions, distance and surface, set the race date (although some restrictions apply) and choose the purse and additional prizes (if any). Below you will find information on our fees and exactly what is included in our race sponsoring packages. If you choose to sponsor a race, your race will be advertised through use of 486x60 and 125x120 banner ads in our rotation on every page of Equination.net. You may submit your own for free or have us design your ads for $20 USD. The field for every stake race is selected based on the horse's highest annual earnings and in the event of a tie for a final position, the horse will be randomly selected.
Base Sponsoring Costs
We have base fees for each of the three graded levels that are offered in the game.
Grade III - These races have a base fee of $30 USD.
Grade II - These races have a base fee of $45 USD.
Grade I - These races have a base fee of $60 USD.
Each graded race has it's own purse range. When you choose to sponsor a race, you will be given the lower end of the purse range. You can increase the purse in the Additional Options section until it has reached the maximum amount for that specific level. These ranges are as follows:
Grade III - $150,000 to $350,000
Grade II - $350,000 to $750,000
Grade I - $750,000 to $2,000,000
Additional Options
Increased purses are available. You can purchase an extra $25,000 SIM for $1 USD, up to the maximum purse limit specified for your races level as listed above.
Real prizes are optional, but if you'd like to offer real prizes you may do so at no extra cost aside from the cost of the actual prizes themselves. Additional prizes are to be specified and shipped to Equination.net when the stake race has been confirmed and nominations have opened. We do not have a minimum or maximum value for the prizes, as that is left up to your discretion.
Banners can be made for an additional $20 USD. If you do not wish to supply us with your own 486x60 and 125x100 banner to advertise your stake race, we will be more than willing to create some banners for you, customized exactly how you'd like them. We can create animated or still, high-quality banners to attract everyone to your stake race.
Other restrictions are available as well. To customize your race and select the finest field possible, we are flexible to offer other restrictions. This can include, but is not limited to: a minimum or maximum race or training rating requirement (ie. a minimum of a 90 rating is required to nominate); breeding location; maximum or minimum number of wins and many more! These restrictions will vary on price depending on how significant they are, but restrictions generally begin at $10 USD extra.

Premium Limitation are also available. If you wish to sponsor a race specifically for second-tier members, there is an additional $10 USD fee.
Payment Methods
We currently accept PayPal for online payments, as well as cheques, cash and money orders. Cheques and Money Orders must be made out to Equination.net.

- Race Name (ie. -Your Name- Classic)
- Age Restriction (2 year olds, 3 year olds, 3 year olds and up, 4 and 5 year olds, 6 year olds and up)
- Gender Restriction (Open; Females (Fillies & Mares); Males (Colts, Geldings & Stallions)
- Distance (5 furlongs, 5-1/2 Furlongs, 6 furlongs. 6-1/2 furlongs, 7 furlongs, 7-1/2 furlongs, 1 mile, 1-1/16 miles, 1-3/16 miles, 1-1/4 miles, 1-3/8 miles, 1-1/2 miles, 1-3/4 miles, 2 miles)
- Surface (Dirt or Turf)
- Host Conference (Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, United States of America)
- Preferred Date (see Racing Calendar for other race dates)
- Level (Grade I, Grade II, Grade III)
Also, please include your contact information, additional specifications, banner (if available) and any other relevant information or ideas you may have to enhance your stake race. We will answer any questions or concerns you have and send you an e-mail detailing exactly how much your race will cost after you send us your sponsor request. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: If I sponsor a race, can I specify who gets to participate in it?
A: You cannot select a specific field for the race. All stake races at Equination.net are restricted to only premium members and have a minimum (and sometimes maximum) rating restriction that must be met. Horses are selected based on their annual earnings. You can, however, make a stake available only to second-tier premium members.
Q: Can I participate in a stake race if I sponsor it?
A: Yes you can, so long as you are a premium member. However, the race stewards will review the race conditions, the field and your entry prior to the release of the official field. If they feel there is an unfair advantage for your horse above the rest, then you will not be able to participate.
Q: Do I get to specify the rating restrictions?
A: When you submit your sponsor request, you may suggest a minimum and/or maximum rating if you'd like. We will take this into consideration, but we may use our own judgement on what horses may or may not get in.
Q: Can I specify a stake race to be open to all members of EQ.net, not just premiums?
A: No. We offer the stake races specifically to premium members who have paid for the special privilege and do not wish to take away from the value of their membership upgrade.
