Jackie Wyatt - Programming and Design

Several New Updates
Written by: Jacklyn Wyatt on August 1st, 2009

Equination is proud to announce the addition of a few brand new features to the game. Since the introduction of our new layout the other day, we now have a great deal more room to work with and provide you with the tools you need to make your stable the best it can be!

Notes - This has been a popular request over the years and it has finally been brought into play! Premium members (both first and second-tier) can now create, edit and delete notes for the horses that they own. This can be done by visiting your horse's information page and scrolling to the bottom Notes section. Notes are only visible to the owner and will not be passed on if the horse is claimed or sold - though they will return if you become the owner of the horse once again later on.

You will also be able to view your horse's notes in the Main Stable and Breeding Stable areas of the game. There will be a yellow notepad beside all of your horse's names that have notes in your stable listings. Simply hovering your mouse over the notepad will display the note that you've written for your horse.

Race Distance & Surface - When viewing your horse's most recent races in the Main Stable listings, you will now be able to see the distance and surface category of their most recent race. This will be represented by an S (short), M (middle) and L (long) and a D/T for dirt/turf.

Stallion Foal Counts - These will now be available in your Breeding Stable listings. A checkmark will appear next to stallion's names that have been bred and the number following it is the total number of foals they have had this season.

Turnout Tracking - A new "Last Turnout" feature will appear on horse information pages following the "Last Trained" field. Starting today, any horse that is turned out will now have the date of their last turnout updated on their pages so that you can see when they last saw the paddock.

Many more additions are still to come to Equination, so stay tuned!
