A couple of new changes have been introduced to Equination this week. The training center received some updates, as well as purses for a couple of race levels. These changes will be outlined below. Everyone is also reminded that Survivor begins again this Saturday, so don't forget to sign up!

The training center changes will affect workouts only. You may notice that there are some new comments available after you work your horse. We have installed a new comment bank to provide a bit more change with some new comments. As well, a new feature has been introduced to slightly alter workout ratings. This new feature basically includes simply uncontrollable outside influences on the rating your horse receives. Workout ratings can increase or decrease by 1-3 points or can remain the same if there were no influences on the rating. The trainer will tell you if anything happened so you will still know what rating your horse received.

The main purpose of this is to help make handicapping a little more difficult. Owners will know where their horse stands when it comes to race day, but the betting public won't know all of the facts - just like how it works in real life.

The second change is for purses of Optional Claiming $80,000 and $100,000 races. Previously, these races offered $75,00 and $90,000 purses respectively. In order to avoid having so many Allowance and Listed Stake horses running in these levels, the purses have been greatly lowered. Optional $80,000 races will now offer a purse of $65,000 while Optional $100,000 races will now have a purse of $75,000. All other purses will remain the same.
